Sunday Snapshot – Brazil
This shot was taken from the Iguazú Falls on the border separating Argentina and Brazil. These gorgeous waterfalls have been recognised internationally as considerable natural wonders, even appearing in the short list of a 2009 competition for the New 7 Wonders of Nature. Pictures probably don’t do this magical place justice!
Saturday Snapshot – Palau
A tiny island nation located in the Pacific Ocean nearly right inbetween Japan and Australia, Palau is home to only about 20,000 people but is also home to some of the most spectacular natural beauty in the world. One of the tiniest states in the United Nations, Palau is also sometimes know as “The Black Islands” and native people are though to be descendants of settlers from Java. Sunday Snapshot – Laos
What a magical shot from the Vang Vieng area of Laos! Though it’s a tourist mecca, the area is truly beautiful and worth a visit. Due to the sheer number of backpackers and travellers that pass through, there is no shortage of guest houses, hostels and bars in the area.
Saturday Snapshot – Hungary
Today’s snapshot comes from the picturesque European nation of Hungary. Taken at the Royal Palace of Visegrad, this shot clearly shows the impressive ruins of this 14th century palace that still remain today. Open to the public, these grounds are definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.
