Gadling recently posted an article of tips on hiding valuables in hotel rooms. There is quite a bit of uproar in the comments section about tipping off thieves by revealing the old “hide things under the mattress” trick, but there are also tons of tried and true tips in the comments section as well from seasoned travellers. Take a look and see if there are any ideas that you’ve used. Or, be like me and leave the valuables at home or on your person at all times!
Jaunted writes that RyanAir refuses to engage in social media. While we love our social media channels, its hard to imagine companies these days deciding to not engage in these efforts at all. Some airlines have fantastic Twitter feeds that truly engage customers like @JetBlue in the United States. Even the London Heathrow airport gets into the game with their interactive Twitter account @HeathrowAirport.
Finally, for serious travellers, Travel and Leisure offers a roundup of the best travel gadgets featured at the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show. I love those Vidix goggles for watching video whilst travelling and on the go!
