A beautiful sunset over the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Riffa Fort.  A small island country located in the Persian Gulf, Bahrain is ruled by the Al Khalifa royal family and lies just east of Saudi Arabia.  An oil-rich country, Bahrain is enjoying the most rapidly growing economy in the Arab world and is also considered by some to be the fastest growing economy in the world.  It’s interesting to see such modernity contrasted with 19th century relics like this one.

  • Such a very lovely sunset picture. I remember being so naive and didn't know about Bahrain till I was in college when it was brought up as a topic on our class discussion. After that I became curious and did my own research in order to know more about this small country with huge opportunities.
