Pittsburgh International Airport after hours – Gadling
We’ve all been there – stuck in the airport for longer than we planned after a flight delay or maybe a missed connection. When I’m in that situation, you’ll often find me frustrated, looking for magazines to read to pass the time. Check out Ashley Klinger who chose to pass the time in a much more creative way when she missed her recent connection at the Pittsburgh Airport due to all the snow in the area. Whilst I don’t necessarily endorse such behaviour, (I’m thinking of disgruntled nighttime security guards with nothing better to do here….) Klinger’s video definitely had me laughing and wishing I had that type of energy and positive attitude in the face of airline delays!
Videos: bad baggage handlers – Gadling
Also from the folks over at Gadling, this post is chock full of videos showing how your luggage really gets handled as its loaded on and off the plane. In a time of soaring fees per checked bag, it makes you wonder what it is you’re really paying for if it’s for your bags to be treated this way. Hopefully there videos show only isolated incidents, but they still make you wonder…
Airplane safety applies to everyone, even Willy Wonka – Gadling

This recent article on Gadling made me giggle – apparently some airlines out there are trying to inject some fun into the otherwise mundane (but important!) security cards. Gadling contributor Annie Scott is the eagle-eye who recently spotted a Willy Wonka-esque character on her safety card on Sun Country Airlines. She ended up finding other “hidden” surprises on her card, including a ballerina and decided to investigate further by interviewing the company behind these safety cards. Check out her entertaining piece about these hidden characters and the company trying to make flying safety fun!
