This winter season has proven to be extremely difficult for travellers.  Due to extreme weather conditions across the globe, but most specifically on the East Coast of the United States and in Western Europe, hundreds of thousands of travellers have found themselves stranded or in stressful situations throughout these countries.  Eurostar travellers have been stuck for days (some in the Chunnel!) due to power and electrical issues on the lines that is being blamed on the weather.  Queues at airports in America are winding around buildings and security queues are lasting for hours as transportation hubs everywhere strain to accommodate delays, cancellations and irate travellers struggling to reach their destinations before Christmas or New Year’s.

In order to survive the stresses and do your best to get to your destination on time and as soon as possible, it’s important to arm yourself with the best information available to assist you on your journey.  We’ve found some great articles and posts over the past few days that are especially timely and essential in helping you prepare for travel this holiday season.
